2D Animation Production & Character Development

This course will teach students how to be a production artist. Students will use art production tools Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Photoshop to create production-ready assets and learn the ins and outs of being on the front lines of a production studio.
Students will learn tools like X-Sheets, node viewers, character rigging, and camera controls to be an effective production artist. Turn your passion for cartoons and illustrations into a career with 2D animation production.
Students will build a repertoire of production-ready assets like characters, backgrounds, and props that can be used as a high-level portfolio piece. They’ll acquire the skills needed to become not only pros with the software but pros in the industry.

Friday Showcase
At the end of each week, attendees can invite their family and friends to join us for a showcase celebration to share their final projects. Learn more about the fun and exciting activities your child experienced during the week and have an opportunity to meet your child’s instructor. Presentations vary by course topic and instructors will highlight some of the important concepts covered during the week and possible next steps to continue your child’s learning. Arrive early as showcase begins at 3:00 pm and is typically finished by 4:00 pm.
