Service Description

Game development is a creative and engaging way for students to learn the fundamentals of project design, practical coding and time management. This course will cover the basics of using the Godot Game Engine, the largest free and fully open-source cross-platform game engine in the world. Focusing on 2D game creation, students will explore concepts such as Kinematic bodies, Sprites, Tile Maps, Signals, Basic Physics and User Interface elements; all key concepts required to make fully functional games. Through a combination of both visual scripting as well as programming in the simple in-built language GDScript, the course will culminate in a major 2D platformer game project. This course does not require any specific coding experience, however, it is assumed students have had some very basic experience coding. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to ensure that we place all students in the correct class of the appropriate level, we require all students to complete the following quiz. Only once you have received an email back from the Intelligent Futures team should you register your student in the class. Notification of acceptance will occur within 2 business days of the quiz filling. The acceptance is purely based on skill/experience and age range and no other factors. Should you purchase the class and not meet the required prerequisites, you will receive a full refund. Please complete this form if you are interested in booking and wait until the acceptance before purchasing for the class:
